Targeted Safety Enhancements – Coordination, Compliance & Responsive Project Management

DHP was pleased to deliver project management and contract administration services for essential fire stopping works at Saint Albert the Great Catholic Primary School in Hemel Hempstead, working on behalf of client ASCAT. This focused intervention was designed to ensure safety compliance within the plant room, where existing infrastructure required remediation to meet current fire protection standards.

Our Role: Managing Precision Safety Upgrades

Our involvement began with a detailed site assessment to define the scope of required fire stopping improvements. Working closely with the school and the selected contractor, Orchard Building Solutions, DHP led the project from specification through to completion—ensuring all works were undertaken safely, efficiently, and in line with both technical expectations and regulatory standards.

Scope of Works:

• Initial inspection of existing non compliant firestopping.

• Produced specification detailing required firestopping remedial works.

• Project Management and Contract Administration from start to end.

Risk Assessment and Monitoring

The contractor was briefed, and the scope of work was clearly defined. Any potential issues were identified and addressed in advance to mitigate any risks. Appropriate procedures were implemented, and the entire process was closely monitored to ensure compliance and maintain alignment with the project budget.
