Accessibility
Accessible to everyone.
We want dhpuk.co.uk to be usable by as many people as possible. This statement explains the steps we've taken and how to report a problem.
Our commitment
dhp is committed to ensuring this website is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of ability or technology. We aim to meet theWCAG 2.1 AAguidelines and continually review the site as it evolves.
What we do
- Structure & navigation. Pages use semantic HTML with clear landmarks, and a "skip to content" link is provided for keyboard and screen-reader users.
- Keyboard & focus. Everything is operable by keyboard, with a visible focus indicator and a focus trap inside the mobile menu and search overlay.
- Motion. Animations respect your
prefers-reduced-motionsetting — reveal and transition effects are disabled if you've asked your device to reduce motion. - Colour & contrast. Text and interactive elements are chosen to meet contrast guidance, and the layout adapts to light and dark surroundings.
- Text & zoom. Text can be resized and the layout reflows without loss of content or function.
- Images. Meaningful images include descriptive alternative text; decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
Limitations
Despite our best efforts, some content may not yet be perfectly accessible. We treat accessibility as ongoing work and welcome feedback that helps us improve.
